All about life, ups and downs, as we wait for the return.

I was walking downtown the other day and came across a wood crafts store. Instantly I was taken back to my youth when my dad and I would do projects on the weekend. I can still remember going to the corner each week and looking up at the neon open sign with all its colors as we walked in. That place was magical for me and many good memories came from it.

The project I remember the most was when we built my CO2 car for boyscouts. There was a race at the end of like 4 or 5 weeks and we got a badge for it I believe. Dad and I went to the store and got all kinds of materials. We bought a block of wood for the body and these for the axels. We got a bright blue spray paint for the color and even bought ball bearings that we placed in the body to give the car some weight. The last piece was the CO2 carteriage, which you placed in the back and actually propelled the car. I don't see my dad much these days but I remember sitting down in the workship with him building that thing. If you have no idea what I am talking about then watch this video and it will give you a good idea.
